Thread your goals into one thread

 How will you make sure that your short-term goals take you closer to your long-term goals?  The most predictable way to work backwards in time is to first set your long-term goals and then consider the necessary steps to achieve each of these goals.

 Each step is a short-term goal.  Keeping your long-term goals always in mind, make sure that your daily, weekly, monthly and yearly plans reflect the main purpose of your life's plan.

 For example, if being healthy and physically fit and balanced by a balanced diet and healthy weight is your long-term goal, then planning and starting a workout should be your monthly short-term goal.

 Exercising for five days can be your weekly plan, and walking for 30 minutes at work or at school can be your daily plan.  In this way your daily, weekly and monthly goals, all these will be helpful towards the big goal of your life.

 Stay on your way

 Once you have set your goals, make a determination to meet them.  Write your goals and look at them in the morning as if you have already achieved them.

 Collect helpful things — news articles, books, tapes, pictures cut from magazines — everything that helps you see your goals.  Make a proper picture or put pictures on the notice board that reflect your goals.

 These can be a series of landscapes depicting your desired job, satisfying relationships, or inspiring you.  Tell people about your goals in your life - it will inspire you to keep trying to achieve them.

 Review your goals with people who have accomplished the goals you want and who are willing to help you from the heart.  Ask your teacher or mentor for advice to move forward on your goals.

 Write them down and resolve your goals by writing them on a card, laptop, tablet or smartphone.  The cost of the written agreement is known to the lawyer / attorney.

 This requires that a commitment be written in very clear, concise form, all the terms and conditions, along with careful details of the amounts, responsibilities (obligations), and timelines.

 Make a pact with yourself, and you will have a successful relationship with yourself.  Ideally, you should keep your written goals or in-pocket lists, so that you can see them daily, review them, and continuously increase them.

 Goals are not set in concrete form and they should be sufficient so that as you climb the ladder of your achievements, you can change them according to the circumstances.

 ★ Make every effort to achieve your goal and never give up.

 ★ Think positively.

 ★ After completing one goal proceed to next goal.

 Many goal-setting coaches (coaches) suggest that in addition to detailing goals on the card or in electronic form, write each of your goals on a small card and keep all your goals in your wallet.

मैरिलैण्ड विश्वविद्यालय के प्रोफेसर एडविन लॉक सर्वाधिक प्रतिष्ठित वैज्ञानिकों में से एक हैं जिन्होने लक्ष्यनिर्धारण का अध्ययन किया है। एक अध्ययन में उन्होने पाया कि परीक्षण किए गए छियानाबे प्रतिशत लोग ज्यादा बेहतर कर सकते थे, यदि उनको उनके सर्वोत्तम प्रयास करने के लिए साधारण ढंग से निर्देशित करने के बजाय उनको विशिष्ट (स्पष्ट) और लक्ष्य दिए गए होते। अनेक अन्य अध्ययनों में इस बात की पुष्टि की गई है।

 None of us are born self-conscious, we learn more and more about ourselves as teenagers and adults.  However, some people give more time than others to think about themselves.  The tendency to think about oneself is often called self-consciousness.


 Psychologists often differentiate between individual self-consciousness and public self-consciousness.  Private self-consciousness has a tendency to know about its personal, internal aspects.  Public self-consciousness is the tendency to know aspects of themselves that appear in social situations.


 Personal self consciousness


 Personal self-consciousness helps us to understand ourselves.  Personal self-conscious people's self-image is often realistic and complex.  They expose their secretive aspects in close relationships, strengthening human relationships and relieving feelings of isolation.


 They are also less likely to be exposed to the ill effects of stress.  However, people with high levels of personal self-consciousness may suffer from depression, as self-consciousness increases the experiences of positive and negative emotions.


 Public self-consciousness


 Like personal self-consciousness, public self-consciousness also has its benefits.  It helps us understand how our behavior affects others, and it helps us to adopt our different social roles.


 However high levels of public self-consciousness can be harmful if it causes anxiety in social situations.  For example, some people are highly concerned about how they look and what other people think of them.  '


 Emotional awareness


 Emotional awareness is another important part of self-awareness.  Emotional awareness is the process of understanding, recognizing, and accepting your feelings.  This involves observing yourself, understanding it at the time of realization, and observing the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and actions.


 Being emotionally aware helps you handle your emotions in positive ways and use them for good choices.


 It is often very easy to become emotionally aware when the circumstances are favorable.  If you have received an A in any of your important exams, you will probably feel conscious of being happy, confident, proud, and capable.


 If you are enjoying the much anticipated holidays, you will probably find yourself happy with feelings of relaxation, freedom and satisfaction.


 When circumstances are not so good, it becomes very difficult to remain emotionally aware.  In such situations, we can try to ignore our feelings.


 To avoid experiencing painful feelings, we can tell ourselves that I do not care or feel anything.  At other times, we can sense that we are feeling something, but do not know exactly what it is.


 Identifying your feelings


 The first way to identify what emotions you are experiencing is to pay attention to Im how your body is feeling.  Tension?  Relaxation?  Thrilled?  Excited?  tired?  Since emotions have a physical and a mental (psychological) part, understanding your body's reactions can help you identify your own emotions.


 Another way to understand your emotional state is to consider what happened just before the emotion began.  Was there an incident?  Did you have a specific idea?  For example after listening to criticism you may find yourself feeling sad or humiliated.


 If you slip and fall in front of someone you are trying to impress, you may feel embarrassed, irritated, or inferior.


 If you are not able to determine under what circumstances that emotion arises, ask yourself what is the direction of your feelings?  Are you feeling towards yourself, towards someone else, or feeling that has nothing to do with any particular person?


 This helps to find the right word for the feeling you are experiencing.  Admittedly, you are feeling "low" or "bad" but can't tell exactly what it is.



 Ask yourself which adjective will explain your condition perfectly.  Are you feeling discouraged?  Time?  Alone?  Rejected?  Developing a large vocabulary for emotions can help you understand your emotions.

संस्कृति, पहचान पर काफी असर डालती है। संस्कृति में किसी बड़े सामाजिक समूह के साझा व्यवहार, विचार, दृष्टिकोण और परंपराएं शामिल होते हैं जो एक पीढ़ी से अगली को हस्तांतरित होते हैं। 

प्रत्येक संस्कृति के मूल्य, नैतिकता, विश्वास, जीवनशैलीयां, तथा स्वीकार्य व अस्वीकार्य व्यवहार के मानदंड, जैसे कि पहनावे का तरीका, खुद को व्यक्त करने और दूसरों से संबंध बनाने के तरीके आदि अलग-अलग होते हैं। 

शिक्षा से लेकर आजीविका और परिवार तक जीवन के समी पहलुओं को संस्कृति प्रभावित करती है। 

पश्चिमी संस्कृति प्राय: व्यक्तिवाद को बढावा देती है। इसका अर्थ है कि लोग समूह के लक्ष्यों के बजाय व्यक्तिगत लक्ष्यों को अधिक महत्व देते है और सामूहिक गुणों के बजाय निजी संदर्भों में अपनी पहचान तय करते हैं। 

व्यक्तिवादी संस्कृतियों में, लोग दूसरों से प्रतिस्पर्धा करने तथा अपने आस-पास के अन्य लोगों से खुद को अलग साबित करने पर जोर देते हैं। 

इस कारण से, अमेरिका और कनाडा जैसे देशों के लोग प्राय: अपनी सामूहिक या संवंधपरक संस्कृति के मुकाबले अपनी निजी संस्कृति को अधिक महत्व देते हैं। व्यक्तिवादी संस्कृतियों में लोगों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण अन्य मूल्यों में निम्न शामिल हैं:

★ रचनाशीलता और कल्पनाशीलता 

★ चुनौतियों, नएपन और बदलावों से भरी विविधतापूर्ण जि'दगी

उदाहरण कै लिए समूहवादी एशियाई संस्कृतियों जैसै कि जापान, भारत और चीन में लोग विशेष बनने या भीड़ से अलग दिखने के बजाय परस्पर सहयोग और भाईचारे पर आधारित आपसी रिश्तों को अधिक महत्व देते हैं। समूहवादी संस्कृतियों द्वारा जोर दिए जाने वाले अन्य मूल्यों में निम्न शामिल हैं:- 

★ अभिभावकों और बड़े-बुजुर्गो का सम्मान और उनके प्रति आदरभाव दर्शाना।

खुशी , अपना आत्म-सम्मान तथा दूसरों से सम्मान प्राप्त करने का प्राकृतिक अनुभव है। खुशी को , किसी चीज़ से पलायन करने या आनंद की खोज से जोड़कर नहीं देखा जाना चाहिए। 

आप खुशी को सुंघ , पी या खा नहीं सकते। आप इसे खरीद नहीं सकते , पहन नहीं सकते, इस पर सवारी नहीं कर सकते, इसे निगल नहीं सकते इंजेक्शन में नहीं ले सकते या इसके लिए सफर नहीं कर सकते। खुशी कोई परिणाम नहीं है। जो कुछ भी हो रहा हो , उसमे से सर्वोत्तम को खोजना और आशावादी बने रहना इसमें शामिल है ।

क्या आपको पता है कि बाहरी कारक जैसे कि पैसा, जवानी, शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य, वैवाहिक स्थिति, शारीरिक आकर्षण, शैक्षिक स्तर, और सामाजिक दर्जा आदि का खुशियों पर मामूली असर ही पड़ता है?
