आत्म-प्रत्याशा और आत्म-प्रतिष्ठा 

आपके साथ आपके परिवार, दोस्तों और परिचितों के द्वारा जिस तरह से व्यवहार किया जाता है उसका आपकी आत्म-प्रतिष्ठा पर बड़ा प्रभाव पड़ता है। लेकिन, इससे भी ज्यादा एक अधिक महत्वपूर्ण व्यक्ति के द्वारा आपके साथ जिस तरह से बर्ताव किया जाता है उसका आपके ऊपर सर्वाधिक प्रभाव पड़ता है - और वह व्यक्ति है -  आप स्वयं। हम अपने आप से जो भी बातें कहते हैं उनका हमारी आत्म-प्रतिष्ठा पर अधिकतम प्रभाव पड़ता है। कम आत्म-प्रतिष्ठा वाले लोग स्वयं के बारे में कहते हैं, "मैँ कुछ भी नहीं हूं, और मैं कुछ भी नहीं कर सकता। "उच्च आत्म-प्रतिष्ठा वाले लोग स्वयं से ये कहते हैं कि, "में भी कुछ हूं, और मैं जो भी बात दिमाग में लाता हू, उसे कर सकता हूं।"

यही आत्म-प्रत्याशा की शक्ति है। यदि आपको लगता है आप किसी काम में सफल हो जाएंगे, तो आप निश्चित रूप से सफल होंगे। अगर आपको लगता है कि आप असफ़ल हो जाएंगे, संभव है कि आपका दिमाग ही आपकी असफ़ल करने की साजिश रच दे। 

आत्म-प्रत्याशा कौशल या क्षमता की तरह नहीं है। इसकी बजाए, ये आप में पहले से मौजूद अपनी योग्यता और कौशल के द्वारा कुछ महत्वपूर्ण करने का विश्वास होता है। दूसरे शब्दों में, इसका मतलब ये नहीं है कि आप वास्तव में क्या हासिल कर सकते हैं, बल्कि इस सोच के बारे में है कि आप क्या हासिल कर सकते हैं।

आत्म प्रत्याशा सफल होने और लक्ष्य प्राप्त करने की अपनी क्षमता में हमारा बिश्वास होने से आती है। इस विश्वास का निर्माण करने का एक शानदार तरीका यह है कि हम अपने पुराने लक्ष्य। और सफलताओं को अच्छी तरह से परखें। ये तरीका हमें इस बात को याद दिलाने में मदद करता है कि हमारे पास पहले से ही कितने कौशल और उपलब्धियाँ मौजूद है।

बचकर निकलने वाली आदत कुछ समय के लिए असुविधा को कम कर देती है, लेकिन आपको इस भावना के साथ छोड जाती है कि आप इस स्थिति से निपटने में असमर्थ रहे हैं।

Self-expectancy and self-respect

 The way you are treated by your family, friends and acquaintances has a big impact on your self-esteem.  But, even more, the way you are treated by a more important person has the most impact on you - and that person is you - yourself.  Everything we say to ourselves has maximum effect on our self-esteem.  People with low self-esteem say about themselves, "I am nothing, and I can do nothing."  People with low self-esteem are likely to fail, whether it is a financial crisis, poor health, and troubled relationships;  This usually always comes as a truth.  People with high self-esteem are expected to succeed, have financial security, have good health and happy relationships;  And it always comes true for them as well.

 This is the power of self-anticipation.  If you think you will succeed in something, you will definitely succeed.  If you think that you will fail, it is possible that your brain is planning to fail.

 Self-expectancy is not like skill or ability.  Instead, it is the confidence of you to do something important with your already existing abilities and skills.  In other words, it is not about what you can actually achieve, but rather about thinking about what you can achieve.

 Our sense of self-expectancy also affects how hard we work towards achieving the goals we choose, and how to face the obstacles that come our way.  If we are confident that we can achieve our goals, then we are determined to face difficulties and motivate ourselves.  However, if our perception is such that our goals are beyond our reach, then we will quickly give up as the difficulties grow.

 Develop self expectancy

 The level of anticipation or desire of most of us is much lower than our capacity and desires.  It is almost as if we are waiting for someone to come and confirm whether we deserve more challenges, whereas in reality, no one can do it except our own.

 There is a big true story that throws light on this thing.  Years ago, it was a stormy night when an elderly couple entered the hotel and asked for a room.  The clerk replied that.  "I'm sorry." Our hotel had come to demand a conference full of groups of people.  Usually, I would send you to another hotel if the hotel is full, but in such a storm I cannot think of asking you to go out again.  Why don't you both stay in my room?  This true story has a message for each of us.  It is not that, if we are a good person, then the real millionaire will come for us and will fulfill all our dreams in one stroke, however, who would not like to be so.  Here this message is in the form of a question: Do we need an outsider to come to believe in our dreams?  How would it be if an outsider comes and sees such abilities in us, which we seldom see in ourselves?  By keeping a real eye on these expectations, where we stand in relation to those achievements, we can succeed on our own without any help.

 Self-expectancy comes from our confidence in our ability to succeed and achieve goals.  A great way to build this trust is that we our old goals.  And test successes thoroughly.  This method helps remind us of how many skills and achievements we already have.

 Are you worried that you don't have much to be proud of?  That's an idea for loading your low self-dignity.  If you have low self-esteem, it is difficult to identify your own achievements.  Achievement or accomplishment is something you achieve through hard work, skill or conviction.  On achieving any achievement, it is not necessary that someone should honor us with a certificate or a trophy.  No one other than you can know what your biggest achievement is.  They are important only for your work.  For example, learning to operate a computer, recovering from illness, starting studies again, or coming out of the shock of a personal loss, these are some of your accomplishments.  The point is that you put your efforts, skills, and perseverance to accomplish the work that matters most to you.

 Creating Successful Experts Another great way to increase your self-expectancy is to create a series of increasingly challenging goals and get ready to meet them.  By doing this, you will get the feeling that you believe only by doing what you decide.  As you set your goals, it would be best to focus on your specific areas where you can achieve measurable results.  For example, suppose you are afraid to speak in front of people.  Now here, instead of having vague goals, "developing public speaker skills" can create a series of challenging clever goals for yourself, like:

 1. Join one four psychology class discussion per week.

 2. Join three four psychology class discussions per week.

 3. Join the discussion of psychology class everyday.

 4. Taking part in a group presentation at the end of the semester in psychology class.

 5. Performing solo at the club meeting in the next quarter.

 6. Making a speech at the school meeting at the end of the year.

 As you move from one goal to another, your confidence in your abilities will increase.  Once you have created self-expectancy in one area of ​​your life, you can move from one area to the next.

 Facing and escaping as your confidence in yourself and your skills grows, you get the courage to face the toughest challenges.  Among the challenges of life, the biggest challenge is to face painful problems.  To face means to stand firm in the face of fearful or uncomfortable situations.  Such frightening situations can be a problem in a situation, a bad habit, a problem at work or school, or a thing that is unpleasant or tragic.  Regardless of the consequences, whenever we face a problem - our self-esteem increases.

 The opposite of facing is to escape from that situation.  This is a trend in which we run away from uncomfortable situations or psychological realities rather than face them.  Whenever we run away from something that we should face, our self-esteem decreases.  The more we run, the more damage our self-esteem causes.  Typically the behavior of survivors includes:

 ★ self-criticism

 ★ make fun of the situation

 ★ Be immersed in work to avoid thinking about the problem

 ★ Migration through activities such as shopping, watching TV, or sleeping

 ★ Bring out unpleasant feelings without doing anything

 ★ resort to alcohol or other drugs

 The habit of escaping reduces discomfort for some time, but leaves you with the feeling that you have been unable to cope with the situation.

जहां एक तरफ कुछ लोग कम आत्म-प्रतिष्ठा से पीडित होते हैं, भले ही ऐसा लगता है कि "उनके पास सब कुछ है" वही दूसरी तरफ कुछ लोग थोड़ा कम भी हो तो भी वे खुद को बहुत अच्छा मानते हैं।

कुछ परिवारों में, बच्चों को बिना शर्त सकारात्मक सम्मान प्राप्त नहीं होता। उसके बजाय उन्हें यह कहा जाता है कि अगर वे एक खास तरीके से कोई काम करेंगे तभी उम्हें प्यार और स्वीकार्यता मिलेगी। उदाहरण के तौर पर कुछ माता-पिता बच्चों से मांग रखते हैं कि उन्हें स्कूल में पूरे अंक लाने पड़ेंगे या खेल में सबसे आगे निकलना होगा। ऐसे माता-पिता अपने बच्चों को शर्त के साथ सकारात्मक सम्मान प्यार और स्वीकार्यता देते हैं कि वे एक खास तरीके से बर्ताव करेंगे।

सामाजिक मदद दो बुनियादी रूपों में मिलती हैं: भावनात्मक मदद और साधनात्मक मददा भावनात्मक मदद विश्वास, संवेदना, देखभाल, प्यार. फिक्र और बिना शर्त के स्वीकार्यता देना होता है। साधनात्मक मदद में किसी को संसाधन देकर मदद करना होता है, जैसै पैसा, श्रम, समय, सलाह ओंर कोई जानकारी देना। जो व्यक्ति आपकी भावनात्मक मदद देता है यह आपक विचारों और भावनाओ को सुनता है, आपकी प्रोत्साहित करता है, गले लगाता है, और आपको अपने महत्व के बारे में याद दिलाता है। जो व्यक्ति आपको साधनात्मक मदद देता है वह आपको उस समय मदद करता है वह आपको किसी सलाह की, नौकरी की, कर्ज की, डॉक्टर के पास ले जाने की, या किसी और अच्छे काम में मदद पाने की जरूरत होती है। 

ऐसे लोग जिन्हें पर्याप्त सामाजिक समर्थन या मदद नहीं मिलती वे कम आत्म-विश्वास से दुखी और अकेलापन का शिकार होते हैं। अकेलापन का मतलब केवल अकेला रहना भर नहीं है। अधिकांश लोगों को कभी-न-कभी या अवसर अकेला रहना पसंद होता है। वास्तविक अकेलापन अकेले रहने से आई उदासी होती है। हममें से अधिकांश लोग समय-समय पर अकेलापन से जूझते हैं। बहुत से किशोर और युवा दुनिया में अपनी जगह खोजने के लिए संघर्ष के दौरान अकेलापन का सामना करते हैं।

 Help and Loneliness When we grow up, that is, we need acceptance and love till we reach adulthood, it does not end.  No matter how old we are, we all need to feel that in our social environment, we are given attention, we get praise, and our value should be increased.  The good words and actions of other people who help us, are value-added, worry-free and connect with a community that we call social help.  Social support also promotes self-respect.

 Social help comes in two basic forms: emotional help and emotional help. Emotional help is trust, compassion, care, love.  Acceptance has to be taken care of and unconditional.  In practical help, one has to help by giving resources, such as giving money, labor, time, advice and information.  The person who gives you emotional help listens to your thoughts and feelings, encourages, hugs you, and reminds you of your importance.  The person who provides you with practical help helps you at that time. You need to get any advice, job, loan, take you to the doctor, or help in any other good work.

 People who do not get enough social support or help are hurt and lonely with low self-confidence.  Loneliness does not mean just being alone.  Most people like to be alone sometimes or on occasion.  The real loneliness is the sadness that comes from being alone.  Most of us struggle with loneliness from time to time.  Many teenagers and youth face loneliness during the struggle to find their place in the world.

 Shyness and self-respect

 People suffering from shyness often feel extremely lonely.  Such shyness arises out of fear of worry about what people think of us in social situations.  Extreme shyness leads us to distraction, the result of which is that we are barely able to talk to others or we can get eye to eye.

 People suffering from low self-esteem often experience shyness.  They do not feel comfortable with themselves, which also makes them difficult to be comfortable with others.  Even they abstain from getting up and running with people everyday so that no one faces or criticizes them.  They are even more misunderstood and feel most isolated in challenging or awkward situations.

 Both loneliness and shyness can be harmful to self-esteem.  They can cause even more damage when you start blaming yourself for erosion or social erosion.  If you lack social skills, then it becomes very difficult for you to take any initiative yourself.  Here it becomes important to convince oneself that there are people who love and appreciate you.

अनियंत्रित तनाव, हमारे लक्ष्यों की प्राप्ति में एक बड़ी रुकावट है- उसी तरह अनियंत्रित क्रोध भी। अप्रसन्नता, असंतुष्टि या शत्रुताभव का एक प्रबल अहसास क्रोध होता है, जो व्यथित करने वाली परिस्थतियों में की जाने वाली समान्य प्रतिक्रिया होती है। हालांकि ज्यादातर बार क्रोध वास्तव में हमारे लिए मददगार नहीं साबित होता। 

यह हमारी ऊर्जा खींच लेता है और हमें हमारे लक्ष्यों की राह से भटका देता है। जब हम क्रोधित होते हैं, तो हम असहाय, तथा और भी ज्यादा निराशा महसूस करते हैं।

आप ऐसी हर परिस्थिति पर काबू नहीं कर सकते,जो आपको क्रोध दिलाती हो। 

हालांकि आप अपने क्रोध पर काबू कर सकते है, और यह तय कर सकते हैं कि आप किसी परिस्थिति पर किस तरह प्रतिक्रिया करना चाहते हैं। जब आप को क्रोध महसूस होना शुरू हो,तो सजग प्रयास करते हुए अपनी ऊर्जा का उपयोग उस समस्या के समाधान खोजने में करें जो क्रोध उत्पन्न कर रही हो।

एड्रिनलीन की याद है? क्रोध ऐसा प्रेरक (ट्रिगर) है जो आपके शरीर से एड्रिनलीन, तथा एक स्ट्रेस हार्मोन भी रिलीज कराता है जो कार्टिसोल कहलाता है। जब ये दोनों हार्मोन आपके शरीर में एक साथ क्रिया करते हैं, तो आपका प्रतिरक्षी तंत्र कमजोर हो जाता है और रोगों का सामना करने के मामले मे कमजोर पड़ जाता है। 

ड्युक यूनिवर्सिटी के इंटनिरस्ट रेडफोर्ड विलियम्स, एम. डी. का कहना है कि, "हर चार जब आप क्रोधित होते हैं, तो यह आपके स्वास्थ्य को प्रभावित करता हैं। " जब आपका रक्त चाप बढ़ जाए, दिल की धड़कन तेज हो जाए, और एड्रिनलीन निकलने लगे तो अपना क्रोध नियंत्रित करने का प्रयास करें। याद रखें कि परेशान करने वाली हर एक परिस्थिति, जीवन-मरण का सघर्ष नहीं होती। दूसरों पर अपनी भड़ास निकालने के बजाय अपने नकारात्मक अहसासों के स्रोत समझने को कोशिश करें और उन्हें रचनात्मक शब्दों व क्रियाओं में बदलने का प्रयास करें। 

क्रोध या दुखी होने का अहसास होने पर आप घर कुछ ऐसा भी कर सकते हैं जिससे आपके नकारात्मक अहसास उचित तरीके से बाहर निकल जाएंगे, जैसै कि ब्लॉक के आस-पास टहलना, या कोई राहत देने बाला गाना सुनना। क्रोध पर विजय पाने के लिए आत्म-जागरूकता एक महत्वपूर्ण आवश्यकता है। आप जितना आत्म-जागरूक होंगे, अपने क्रोध के असली कारणो को समझने, तथा दैनिक जीवन के उतार-चढावों का सामना करने में आप उतने ही अधिक बेहतर होते जाएंगे। 

क्रोध की प्रतिक्रिया 

क्रोध एक भावना हैं, क्रिया नहीं है। हालांकि, लोग प्राय: अपने क्रोध को अपना बचाव करने वाले कार्यो के ज़रिए व्यक्त करते हैं: वे चिल्लाते हैं, झल्लाते हैं, यहां तक कि किसी पर प्रहार भी कर बैठते हैं। इस तरह भड़ास निकालने के बाद क्या वे बेहतर महसूस करते हैं? नहीं। अक्सर भावावेश का शिकार होने वाले लोग प्राय: अपने बारे में खराब महसूस करते हैं। वे व्याकुल और बेकाबू हो जाते हैं और जिन समस्याओं को लेकर वे क्रोधित होते हैं वे उनकी भड़ास गुज़र जाने के बाद भी वैसी की वैसी ही बनी रहती हैं। 

लोग प्राय: अपना क्रोध दो तरीकों से व्यक्त करते हैं: कभी-कभी हम क्रोध को बाहर की ओर, तो कभी-कभी इसे हम आंतरिक रूप से मोह देते हैं। आंतरिक रुख वाला क्रोध प्राय: ' स्वस्थ ' क्रोध कहा जाता हैं क्योकि हम खुलकर इसे व्यक्त करते हैं। 

हालांकि यदि यह शारीरिक या मानसिक नुकसान पहुंचाता हो तो यह स्वस्थ नहीं कहा जा सकता। बहिर्मुखी क्रोध प्राय: आक्रामकता के रूप में प्रकट होता है, ऐसा व्यवहार, जो ( आप, क्रोधित व्यक्ति सहित) किसी व्यक्ति या किसी चीज़ को नुकसान या चोट पहुंचाने के लिए किया जाता है। आक्रामक रवैया अपनाने वाले लोग खुद के साथ-साथ दूसरों को भी नुकसान पहुंचाते हैं। आक्रामक लोग प्राय: अपना क्रोध निम्न प्रकार से व्यक्त करते हैं: 

★ चिल्लाना, अपशब्द कहना, या अन्य गाली-गलौज करना  

★ शारीरिक दुर्व्यवहार 

★ अतार्किक मांगें 

★ दबंगई वाला व्यवहार 

★ दूसरों की आलोचना और टीका-टिप्पणी 

★ दूसरों से शत्रुतापूर्ण असहमति 

★ बदला लेने की काल्पनिक सोचें 

आंतरिक व्यक्त किया जाने वाला क्रोध अपेक्षाकृत सुरक्षित प्रतीत होता है। लेकिन क्या वास्तव में ऐसा है? यह प्राय: हमारे रिश्तों को, और हमारे शारीरिक व मानसिक स्वास्थ्य को दूरगामी नुकसान पहुचा सकता है। आंतरिक क्रोध निम्न प्रकार से प्रकट होता है: 

★ उपहास या कटुता 

★ उपेक्षा या तिरस्कार 

★ चुप्पी वाला रवैया 

★ खीझ 

★ दूसरों पर व्यापक रूप से अविश्वास 

★ पीडित होने का अहसास 

★ इर्ष्या या डाह 

★ थकावट और दुशिचंता

★ अवसाद 

हमारे अंदर दबा रह जाने वाला क्रोध, हमें असंतुष्ट बना सकता है। यह हमें खुद के प्रति भी असंतुष्ट बना सकता है, जिससे ग्लानि और अवसाद पैदा होते हैं। 

निष्क्रिय-आक्रामकता बार-बार दबाया और आंतरिक मोड़ दिया गया क्रोध खतरनाक हो सकता है। यह दबा हुआ क्रोध, निष्क्रिय-आक्रामकता उत्पन्न कर सकता है, जो कि दूसरों के प्रति परोक्ष रूप से व अनिश्चित रूप से आक्रामक अभिव्यक्तियां करते हुए भावनात्मक संघर्षो या स्ट्रेसर्स से निबटने का तरीका है। निक्रिय-आक्रामकता, आक्रामकता का एक छिपा हुआ रूप है। यह अरुचिकर अहसासों और घटनाओ जैसे कि क्रोध और असहमति आदि से बचाव करने का एक तरीका है। निक्रिय-आक्रामक लोग प्राय यह करते हैं: 

★ लोगों से वह कहते हैं जो वे सुनना चाहते हैं, चाहे इसके लिए उन्हें झूठ ही क्यों न बोलना पड़े

★ अपने आंतरिक अहसासों की अनदेखी करते हैं 

★ डरते हैं कि कहीं उनके अहसास उजागर न हो जाएं 

★ गलत समझे जाने या उपेक्षित कर दिए जाने की शिकायत करते हैं 

★ विफलताओं या नाकामियों का दोष दूसरों पर मढ़ते हैं 

★ संघर्ष से डर संभव बचाव करने के लिए दूसरो के आगे झुक जाते हैं और फिर गुप्त रूप से दूसरों से चुगली करके अपने स्वार्थ सिद्ध करने के प्रयास करते हैं 

★ क्रोधित हो जाते हैं किन्तु अपना क्रोध प्रकट करने से डरते हैं, इसलिए दूसरों को कमजोर करते हुए चुपचाप बदला लेते हैं 

★ हंसी-मजाक प्रतीत होने वाले तरीकों (कटाक्ष) से लोगों क्रो नीचा दिखाते हैं 

निक्रिय-आक्रामकता ऐसे अस्वस्थ विचारों पर आधारित होती हैं जो लोगों को भय और पीड़ित होने का, और इसके साथ क्रोधित होने का भी अहसास कराते हैं। ऐसें विचारों में निम्न शामिल हैं:-

★ ‌"मैं कभी कामयाब नहीं हो सकता, तो कोशिश ही क्यों करू?" 

★ “हर कोई मेरे से ज्याश ताकतवर है।" 

★ “क्रोध करना गलत बात हैं।" 

★ “मेरी भावनाओं की कोई परवाह नहीं करता।" 

★ “मेरी समस्याएं, अन्य लोगों की समस्याओं से ज्यादा बदतर हैं।" 

★ “मैं हारा हुआ और नाकाम इंसान हूं।" 

★ “मैं जो महसूस करता हूं, वह उसके ठोक उल्टा है जो दूसरे लोग चाहते हैं कि मैं महसूस करूं।" 

★ “मुझे यह सुनिश्चित करना होंगा कि लोग मुझे पसंद और स्वीकार करें।" 

★ “लोग कभी नहीं जान पाएंगे कि मैं क्रोधित हूं और यह कि मैं उनसे असहमत हूं।" 

★ “किसी से विवाद करने के बजाय मैं मरना पसंद करूंगा।" 

हममें से ज्यादातर लोग, कभी न कभी ये बातें महसूस करते हैं। हालांकि निष्क्रिय-आक्रामक लोग ज्यादातर समय या हमेशा ही इसी तरह से सोचते रहते हैं। 

उनकी परेशानियां और अस्वस्थ विचारों को कम करने के लिए, यह ज़रूरी है कि अपनी भावनाओं को शांतिपूर्वक व ठोस आधार के साथ व्यक्त करने का साहस जुटाएं, और दूसरे लोगों को भी ऐसा करने का मौका दें। 

हर परिस्थिति को जीत-हार वाली परिस्थिति की तरह देखने के बजाय स्वीकार करना, और समझौते करने की कोशिश करना सीखें। साथ ही, यह सुनिश्चित करने का प्रयास करें कि आपकी कथनी और करनी, आपके अहसासों के अनुकूल हो। 

क्रोध से रचनात्मक ढंग से निबटना 

क्रोध को दबाने के बजाय, या इसे आक्रामकता से व्यक्त करने या फिर निक्रिय-आक्रामकता में बदलने का मौका देने के बजाय अपनी आत्म-जागरूकता बढाने के लिए इसका इस्तेमाल करना कहीं ज्यादा बेहतर है। 

क्रोध से रचनात्मक ढंग से निबटने का अर्ध यह है कि इसके कारणों को समझें, शांत बने रहें, सकारात्मक कार्य करें, और परिस्थिति सुधारने के लिए निश्चयात्मक (ठोस) बातचीत करें। 

मैं क्यों क्रोधित हूँ? आपकी कौन बात क्रोधित करती है, और क्यों, इसका पता लगाना, क्रोध को जीतने की दिशा में पहला कदम है। डीलिंग विद एंगर की लेखिका सैंडी लिविंगस्टोन के अनुसार, क्रोध तब उत्पन्न होता है जब हमें ऐसा लगता है कि कुछ ऐसा घटने वाला है जो: 

★ हमें भयभीत करेगा 

★ हमें चोट पहुंचाएगा 

★हमें खतरे में डालेगा 

★ हमें शक्तिहीनता का अहसास कराएगा। 

हमें चोट या शक्तिहीनता का जो भय होता है वह प्राय: शारीरिक न होकर भावनात्मक होता है। सारा का उदाहरण देखें: नवजात बच्चे, पार्ट-टाहम नौकरी, और मैनेजमेन्ट के नाइट कोर्स के बीच सारा को अपने तनाव स्तर काबू में रखने में कठिनाई होने लगी। 

बच्चा पैदा होने से पहले वह और उसका पति चक, बच्चे को देखभाल को जिम्मेदारी मिलकर उठाने के लिए राजी थे। एक शाम घर लौटने पर सारा ने देखा कि चक ने न तो बच्चे को नहलाया है न ही खाने के लिए कोई तैयारी की है। भूखी और थकी होने पर अक्सर चिड़चिड़ी हो जाने वाली सारा अचानक फट पडी। 

चक भी क्रोधित हो उठा, उसने कहा कि सारा बेवजह जात को बढा रही है। इससे सारा का गुस्सा और भी बढ़ गया, क्योंकि इससे उसे भावनात्मक दुर्बलता का अहसास हुआ-चक उसकी भावनाओ को गंभीरता से नहीं ले रहा था। सारा के प्रति चक का क्रोध इस अहसास के डर से उपजा था कि शायद उनके रिश्ते में दरार आ चुकी है। उन दोनों के लिए इस समस्या का रचनात्मक हल यह होता कि वे अपने अहसास जाहिर करते और फिर मिलकर समाधान खोजते। 

अपने निजी स्ट्रेसर्स की पहचान करने की तरह आपके निजी क्रोध को प्रेरित करने वाली बातों (ट्रिगर्स) जानना भी ज़रूरी है। ट्रिगर्स ऐसे लोग, परिस्थितियां या घटनाएं होते हैं जो क्रोध भड़काते हैं। 

शांत रहें जब आप खुद को क्रोधित होता महसूस करें, तो शांत बने रहने पर केंद्रित हों। उदाहरण के लिए, यदि आप किसी दो साल के बच्चे की देखभाल करते हों और उसे सुलाने के लिए बिस्तर में लिटा आने के बाद जब आप कुछ पढ़ रहे हों और उसे बिस्तर से निकलकर आता देखें, तो ऐसे में आपकी अनेक प्रतिक्रियाएं हो सकती हैं। 

एक यह भी हो सकती है कि आप क्रोधित हो उठें और कहें, "यह बच्चा कभी भी शांत नहीं रहता! " क्रोधित होकर आप बच्चे पर चिल्ला सकते हैं, और फिर इतने दुखी हो जाएंगे कि अपनी पढाई पर ध्यान नहीं लगा पाएंगे। अन्य प्रतिक्रिया यह सोचने की हो सकती है, ' हम दोनों को आराम करने की ज़रूरत है। मैं एक विराम लूंगा और बिस्तर में लेटकर कोई प्यारी कहानी पढूंगा ताकि हम दोनों एक साथ कूछ अच्छा समय बिता सके।' 

बच्चे को फिर से बिस्तर पर लिटा आने के बाद आप शांत तथा अपने काबू में रह सकते हैं और अपने काम पर फिर से ध्यान लगा सकते हैं। किसी परिस्थिति के बारे में आप किस तरह से सोचते हैं, यह प्राय: उस बारे में आपके अहसास तय करता है। किसी परेशान कर देने वाली स्थिति का सामना करने पर आपा खो देने के बजाय यह अहसास करें कि आप क्रोध महसूस कर रहैं हैं और फिर पता लगाएं कि आप क्यों क्रोधित हैं। 

यदि इसमें कोई दूसरा व्यक्ति शामिल है, तो उसका नजरिया समझने की कोशिश करें। साथ ही, तटस्थ (निरपेक्ष) भाव से उदासीन दर्शक (तमाशाई) की भाति परिस्थिति को देखने की कोशिश करें। क्या इस परिस्थिति को देखने का और कोई तरीका है जिससे आपको अपना क्रोध कम करने में मदद मिल सकती हो? अनेक परिस्थितियां क्रोध या तनाव की वजह बन सकती हैं क्योकि आप उनको अवास्तविक या अतिरंजित रूप में (बढा-चढा कर) देखते हैं। जब आप किसी बात पर ज्यादा प्रतिक्रिया देते हैं, तो आप क्रोध को अपने पर हावी होने देते हैं जबकि क्रोध वास्तव में अनिवार्य नहीं होता। 

सकारात्मक कार्य करें यह सोचना आसान है कि दूसरे लोग हमारी सारी समस्याओ को जड़ होते हैं। हालांकि यह हो सकता है कि दूसरों के बारे में हमारे नजरिए में ही समस्या हो। दूसरों के प्रति अपना क्रोध बढ़ाने और असंतोष पालने के बजाय, शांतिपूर्वक अपनी भावनाएं व्यक्त करना सीखें। पिछले मसलों या अन्य विवादों को उभारे बिना वर्तमान परिस्थिति को हल करने का प्रयास करें। साथ ही, खुद से ये तीन प्रश्न पूछे: 

★ क्या मैं दूसरों को बदलने या उन पर काबू करने की कोशिश कर रहा हूं? 

★ क्या मैं इस व्यक्ति के प्रति पूर्वाग्रह से ग्रस्त हूं? क्या मैं बहुत अधिक छिद्रान्वेषी (दूसरों में दोष खोजने वाला) हूं? 

★ क्या मैं सामने वाले से, सामान्य से अधिक अपेक्षा कर रहा हूं? 

★क्या मैं चाहता हूं कि लोग मेरे जैसे बन जाएं? 

लोग प्राय: क्रोधित हो जाते हैं क्योकि उनको लगता हैं कि परिस्थिति उनके खिलाफ हैं। कभी-कभी बातें खिलाफ होती हैं, और हर परिस्थिति में अनुकूलता खोजना निष्फल प्रयास हो सकता हैं। यह ज़रूरी हैं कि हम वे बातें स्वीकार करना सीखें जिंहे हम बदल नहीं सकते। इसके बजाय हम बदल सकने वाली चीजों को बदलने के लिए अपनी ऊर्जा इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं। 

आप इस विचार पर कैसे अमल करेंगे? माना कि आपको सोमवार को होने वाली एक परीक्षा के लिए अध्ययन करना है और सप्ताहांत के दौरान आपके घर में काफी हो-हल्ला मचा रहता है। इस परिस्थिति को यथार्थवादी, व्यावहारिक नजरिए से देखें। अगर आपके घर में पढाई करने के लिए कोई शांत कोना मिलने की उम्मीद आपको न हो, तो पुस्तकालय में बैठकर पढने की योजना बनाएं। अपने घर के शोर-शराबे को लेकर कुढ़ने के बजाय यह ज्यादा आसान होगा। आप अपने लिए तनावपूर्ण परिस्थिति न बनाने का विकल्प चुन सकते हैं। 

दृढ़निश्चय रहने की कोशिश करें। 

आक्रामकता या निष्क्रिय-आक्रामकता का सहारा लेने के बजाय दृढ़निश्चय स्वभाव बनाने का प्रयास करें। दूढ़निश्चयता (दृढ़निश्चयात्मकता) दूसरो के अधिकारों का हनन किए बिना अपने विचार और अहसास जाहिर करने की क्षमता को कहते हैं। इसका मतलब यह मानने से हैं कि आपके विचार और अहसास उचित हैं और उन्हें जताने का आपको हक है। दूसरों से अपने व्यवहार में अधिक दृढ़निश्चयी बनने के लिए निम्म बातें आजमाएं 

★ परेशान करने वाली मामूली बातों से निबटे, इससे पहले कि वे क्रोध पैदा करने वाली परिस्थितियां बन जाएं। 

★ ज़रूरत होने पर मदद मांगें। 

★अतार्किक आग्रह मानने से “इनकार" कर दें। 

★ आप अपने साथ जैसा व्यवहार चाहते हों, वैसा न मिलने पर अपनी बात कहें।

★ ऐसा समाधान खोजें जिसमें हर किसी संबधित व्यक्ति का हित हो। 

★सकारात्मक, रचनात्मक आलोचनाओं और सुझावों का खुले मन से स्वागत करें। 

★ बधाईयों को सहज "धन्यवाद" के साथ स्वीकार करें, खुद को कमतर न साबित करें। 

★ शांत शारीरिक हाव-भाव बनाए रखें और नज़रें मिलाकर बात करें। 

★ सक्रिय होकर सुनने का अभ्यास करें: ऐसा जताए कि आप सामने वाले को बात ध्यान से सुनना चाहते हैं, सामने वाले के शब्दों और शारीरिक हाव-माव पर ध्यान दें, और उनके शब्दों पर विचार करें ताकि उनको लगे कि जो कुछ उन्होंने कहा है वह आपने सुना है। 

अपने क्रोध पर अपनी प्रतिक्रियाएं नियंत्रित करना सीखने के साथ आप अपने क्रोध की आवृत्ति ( प्रीक्वेंसी ) भी नियंत्रित करना सीख जाएंगे । उदाहरण के लिए , कभी-कभी हम इसलिए क्रोध महसूस करते हैं क्योंकि लोग हमारी आलोचना करते हैं या हमसे असहमति जाहिर करते हैं । 

हमारे क्रोध को धीमा करने और उस पर सतर्कता से ध्यान देना सीखने के साथ हमारी समझ में आने लगता है कि हमारा क्रोध दूसरों की बातों से उत्पन्न नहीं होता-बल्कि यह हमारे अंदर छिपे इस गुप्त भय से पैदा होता है कि वे सही हो सकते हैं । क्रोध पर सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रियाओं की तादाद बढाने के साथ हम अपनी लचक और आत्म-प्रतिष्ठा भी बढ़ाते हैं :-

Dealing with anger

 Uncontrolled stress is a major hindrance in the attainment of our goals - similarly uncontrolled anger.  A strong feeling of unhappiness, dissatisfaction or hostility is anger, which is a normal reaction in distressing situations.  Although most of the times anger does not really help us.

 It draws our energy and distracts us from the path of our goals.  When we are angry, we feel helpless, even more frustrated.

 You cannot control every situation that makes you angry.

 However, you can control your anger, and decide how you want to react to a situation.  When you begin to feel anger, use your energy consciously to find solutions to the problem that is causing anger.

 Remember Adrenaline?  Anger is a trigger that releases adrenaline from your body, and also a stress hormone called cartisole.  When these two hormones act together in your body, your immune system becomes weak and weak in case of diseases.

 Duke University's Intrepid Radford Williams, MD, states that, "Every four when you're angry, it affects your health." When your blood pressure increases, the heartbeat increases, and  When adrenaline starts coming out, try to control your anger.  Remember that every disturbing situation is not a struggle for life and death.  Instead of getting angry with others, try to understand the source of your negative feelings and try to convert them into creative words and actions.

 You can also do something at home when you feel angry or sad that your negative feelings will come out in the proper way, such as walking around the block, or listening to a song of relief.  Self-awareness is an important requirement to overcome anger.  The more self-aware you are, the better you will be at understanding the real causes of your anger, and in coping with the ups and downs of daily life.

 Anger response

 Anger is an emotion, not an action.  However, people often express their anger through acts of self-defense: they shout, shout, even attack someone.  Do they feel better after getting angry like this?  No.  People who are often victims of emotion often feel bad about themselves.  They become distraught and uncontrollable and the problems they are angry about remain the same even after their anger has passed.

 People often express their anger in two ways: sometimes we turn anger outward, sometimes we attach it internally.  Anger with an internal attitude is often called 'healthy' anger because we express it openly.

 However, if it causes physical or mental harm, it cannot be called healthy.  Extrovert anger often manifests as aggression, behavior that is done to harm or hurt someone or something (including you, an angry person).  People who adopt aggressive attitude harm themselves as well as others.  Aggressive people often express their anger in the following ways:

 ★ shouting, abusing, or abusing others

 ★ physical abuse

 ★ irrational demands

 ★ bullying

 ★ Criticism and commentary from others

 ★ hostile disagreements with others

 ★ Think of revenge fantasy

 The anger expressed internally appears to be relatively safe.  But is that really so?  This can often cause far-reaching damage to our relationships, and to our physical and mental health.  Internal anger manifests as follows:

 ★ ridicule or bitterness

 ★ ignore or despise

 ★ silence attitude

 ★ annoyance

 ★ widespread distrust of others

 ★ Feeling of suffering

 ★ jealousy or jealousy

 ★ Exhaustion and anxiety

 ★ depression

 Anger that is buried inside us can make us dissatisfied.  It can also make us dissatisfied with ourselves, leading to guilt and depression.

 Passive-aggression repeatedly suppressed and internalized anger can be dangerous.  This suppressed anger can lead to passive-aggression, which is a way of dealing with emotional conflicts or stressors by making indirect and indecisive aggressive expressions towards others.  Passive-aggression is a hidden form of aggression.  It is a way of avoiding unpleasant feelings and events such as anger and disagreement.  Passive-aggressive people often:

 ★ tell people what they want to hear, even if they have to lie

 Passive-aggression is based on unhealthy thoughts that make people feel afraid and victimized, and also angry with it.  Such views include the following: -

 ★ ‌ "I can never succeed, so why try?"

 ★ "Everyone is stronger than me."

 ★ "Anger is the wrong thing to do."

 ★ "Nobody cares about my feelings."

 ★ "My problems are worse than other people's problems."

 ★ "I'm a loser and a failed person."

 ★ "What I feel is the opposite of what other people want me to feel."

 ★ "I have to make sure people like and accept me."

 ★ "People will never know that I am angry and that I disagree with them."

 ★ "I'd rather die than argue with someone."

 Most of us, at some time, feel these things.  Although passive-aggressive people think the same way most of the time or always.

 To reduce their troubles and unhealthy thoughts, it is important to muster up the courage to express your feelings peacefully and with a solid foundation, and allow others to do the same.

 Instead of seeing every situation as a win-lose situation, learn to accept and try to make compromises.  Also, try to make sure that your words and actions are compatible with your feelings.

 Creative handling of anger

 It is far better to use it to increase your self-awareness than to suppress anger, or to express it aggressively or to turn it into passive-aggression.

 The half of dealing with anger constructively is to understand the reasons for it, remain calm, act positively, and have a definitive (concrete) conversation to improve the situation.

 Why am I angry?  Finding out what makes you angry, and why, is the first step towards conquering anger.  According to Sandy Livingstone, author of Dealing with Anger, anger arises when we feel that something is going to happen:

 ★ will frighten us

 ★ will hurt us

 ★ will endanger us

 ★ will make us feel powerless.

 The fear of injury or powerlessness is often emotional rather than physical.  See Sara's example: Between a newborn, part-job job, and a night course of management, Sara found difficulty in keeping her stress levels under control.

 Before the baby was born, she and her husband, Chuck, agreed to take care of the child with responsibility.  On returning home one evening, Sarah noticed that Chuck had neither bathed the child nor made any preparations to eat.  Being hungry and tired, often irritable, Sara suddenly burst.

 Chak also got angry, he said that Sara is unnecessarily increasing the caste.  This further aggravated Sarah's anger, as it made her feel emotional-weak - Chuck was not taking her feelings seriously.  Chuck's anger at Sara stems from the fear of realizing that their relationship may have been broken.  For both of them, the creative solution to this problem would have been to express their feeling and then find a solution together.

 Like identifying your personal stressors, it is also important to know the triggers that inspire your personal anger.  Triggers are people, situations or events that provoke anger.

 Stay calm When you feel angry, focus on staying calm.  For example, if you take care of a two-year-old child and after you lie in bed to sleep, when you are reading something and see him coming out of bed, you may have many reactions.

 One can also be that you get angry and say, "This child is never calm!" You can shout at the child in anger, and then you will be so sad that you will not be able to concentrate on your studies.  Other reactions may be to think, 'We both need to rest.  I will take a break and lie in bed and read a lovely story so that we can spend some good time together. '

 After the child lies in bed again, you can remain calm and in control and concentrate on your work again.  How you think about a situation often determines your feelings about it.  Instead of losing your temper in the face of a disturbing situation, realize that you are feeling angry and then find out why you are angry.

 If there is another person involved, try to understand his / her point of view.  Also, try to look at the situation like a neutral audience (tamashai) with a neutral (absolute) sense.  Is there any other way of looking at this situation that can help you reduce your anger?  Many situations can cause anger or stress because you see them as unrealistic or exaggerated.  When you over-react to something, you let anger dominate you while anger is not really necessary.

 Do positive work It is easy to think that other people root for all our problems.  However, it may be that there is a problem in our perspective of others.  Instead of venting your anger and resentment towards others, learn to express your feelings calmly.  Try to resolve the current situation without raising previous issues or other disputes.  Also, asked myself these three questions:

 ★ Am I trying to change or overcome others?

 ★ Am I biased towards this person?  Am I too snobbish (find fault with others)?

 ★ Am I expecting more from the front than usual?

 ★ Do I want people to become like me?

 People often get angry because they feel that circumstances are against them.  Sometimes things are against, and finding compatibility in every situation can be a fruitless endeavor.  It is important that we learn to accept things that we cannot change.  Instead we can use our energy to change things that can change.

 How will you implement this idea?  Suppose you have to study for a test on Monday and during the weekend there is a lot of hullabaloo in your house.  Look at this situation from a realistic, practical perspective.  If you do not expect to find a quiet corner to study in your home, then plan to sit in the library and study.  It would be easier than to get angry about the noise of your home.  You can choose not to create a stressful situation for yourself.

 Try to be determined.

 Instead of resorting to aggression or passive-aggression, try to build a strong disposition.  Dissertitude (determinism) refers to the ability to express one's thoughts and feelings without violating the rights of others.  It means assuming that your thoughts and feelings are appropriate and that you have the right to express them.  Try the following things to become more determined in your dealings with others

 ★ Deal with disturbing trivia before they become anger-causing situations.

 ★ Ask for help when needed.

 ★ "refuse" to accept irrational requests.

 ★ Say the way you want to be treated when you are not.

 ★ Find a solution in which everyone concerned is interested.

 ★ Openly welcome positive, constructive criticisms and suggestions.

 ★ Accept greetings with a simple "thank you", don't prove yourself to be inferior.

 ★ Maintain calm body gesture and talk with eyes.

★ Practice listening actively: Make it appear that you want to listen carefully to the person in front, pay attention to the words and physical movements of the person in front of them, and consider their words so that they feel that what they have said.  You have heard that

 Along with learning to control your reactions to your anger, you will also learn to control the frequency of your anger.  For example, sometimes we feel angry because people criticize us or disagree with us.

 As we learn to slow down our anger and pay careful attention to it, we begin to understand that our anger does not originate from the words of others — but it arises from this secret fear hidden in us that they can be right  .  Along with increasing the number of positive reactions to anger, we also increase our flexibility and self-esteem: -

तनाव और तनाव के कारण 

अपने लक्ष्यों पर ध्यान दें पाना कभी - कभी चुनौतीपूर्ण बन सकता है, खासकर जब आप रुकावटों से जूझ रहे हों। हालांकि

तनाव, जीवन का स्वाभाविक हिस्सा है। तनाव, किसी व्यक्ति के अपने जीवन की मांगों के प्रति उसकी शारीरिक और मनोवैज्ञानिक प्रतिक्रिया है। तनाव सकारात्मक या नकारात्मक हो सकता है। इयुस्ट्रेस (सकारात्मक) या अच्छा तनाव खुशनुमा, वांछित तनाव होता है जिसे आप कोई खेल खेलते समय या घूमने के समय महसूस कर सकते हैं। डिस्ट्रेस (नकारात्मक) या बुरा तनाव ऐसा तनाव होता है जो आप बीमारी के दौरान या जीवन में कोई भयंकर बदलाव आने पर महसूस कर सकते हैं। 

मनोवैज्ञानिक अल्बर्ट एलिस का मानना है कि हम अपने लिए तनाव खुद उत्पन्न करते हैं क्योंकि हम अपने मन मे अतार्किक विश्वासों को जगह दिए रहते हैं। उदाहरण के लिए, किसी पार्टी में लोगों को कानाफूसी करते देखकर हम तनावग्रस्त हो सकते हैं क्योकि हम अतार्किक रूप से मान लेते हैं कि वे हमारी चुगली कर रहे हैं। यह दिखाता है कि किस तरह से डिस्ट्रस (नकारात्मक), वास्तविक घटनाओं के बजाय घटनाओं के बारे में हमारे विश्वासों का परिणाम होता है। कोई सक्रिय करने वाली (विचारोत्तेजक) घटना (A) अपने बारे में लोगों को एक अतार्किक या नकारात्मक विश्वास कायम करने के लिए प्रेरित करती है (B) जिससे घटना के नतीजे(C) साकार होते हैं। 

तनाव, महसूस करने वाले के नजरिए में होता है। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के तनाव पैदा करने वाले अपने कारक (या वजहें) होते हैं। तनाव पैदा करने वाली वजह ( स्ट्रेसर ) कोई ऐसी बात होती है जो तनाव पैदा करती है। क्या आपने कभी ध्यान दिया कि विभिन्न लोग, एक ही 'घटना के बारे में किन अलग-अलग तरीकों से प्रतिक्रिया करते हैं? एक लम्बी सैर पर जाने की बात सोचकर आप रोमांचित महसूस कर सकते हैं, जबकि आपका मित्र बेचैन और तनावग्रस्त महसूस कर सकता है। तनाव का अध्ययन करने वाले शुरुआती लोगों में से एक डॉ. हैंस सेल्ये ने लोगों को दो श्रेणियों: रेस के घोडे और कछुए में बांटा।

 रेस का घोड़ा दौडना पसंद करता है और इसे सीमित जगह में कैद कर दिए जाने पर यह दम घुटने से मर जाएगा। दूसरी तरफ, कछुए को अगर ट्रेडमिल पर दौड़ने के लिए मजबूर किया जाए, तो यह अपनी धीमी प्रकृति के विपरीत बहुत तेज चलने की वजह से थककर मर जाएगा। हममें से हर किसी को अपने तनाव का स्वस्थ स्तर खोजना होता है, जो रेस के घोड़े और कछुए के बीच कहीं होता है।

आप चाहे रेस के घोड़े हों या कछुए, ऐसी स्थितियों का सामना करने पर आप तनाव महसूस कर सकते हैं जो आपसे करने या सोचने के पुराने तरीके बदलने की मांग करें। निम्न बातों का सामना करने पर तनाव अनुभव करना सामान्य बात है:-

★ स्कूल या कार्य से जुडी अधिक मांगें 

★ पारिवरिक रिश्तों में बदलाव 

★ नई आर्थिक जिम्मेदारियां 

★ आपके सामाजिक जीवन में बदलाव 

★ नए लोगों, विचारों, और स्थितियों से संपर्क 

★ यौन पहचान के बारे में अनिविचतता या शर्म 

★ आंतरिक रूप से पैदा होने वाली मागें, जैसै दुशिचंताएं। 

तनाव के लक्षण 

क्या होता है जब हम तनाव अनुभव करते हैं? रट्रेसर्स, स्वतंत्र तंत्रिका तंत्र (ए एन एस ) से प्रतिक्रिया प्रेरित करता है, जो कि तंत्रिका तंत्र का वह भाग होता है जो ह्रदय, पेशियों और ग्रंथियों को आवेग भेजता है। एएनएस, शरीर की अनेक क्रियाएं नियंत्रित करता है, जिनमें ह्रदय और धड़कन, और पाचन भी शामिल हैं। 

एएनएस में, दो उप-प्रणालियां होती हैं, सिम्पैथेटिक तांत्रिका तंत्र और पैरासिंपैठेटिक तंत्रिका तंत्र खतरनाक या तनावपूर्ण दशाओं में, सिम्पैथेटिक तंत्रिका तंत्र आपके दिल की धड़कन और सांस की गति बढा देता है और भोजन का पचना धीमा कर देता है। शांत स्थितियों में पैरासिम्पैथेटिक तंत्रिका तंत्र आपके दिल की धड़कन और सांस की गति कम कर देता है और भोजन का पचना तीव्र कर देता है। 

तीन शारीरिक स्तरों के द्वारा एएनएस, स्ट्रेसर्स से प्रतिक्रिया करता है: चेतावनी, प्रतिरोध, और थकावट  । 

चेतावनी के स्तर में, शरीर स्ट्रेसर का सामना करता है और खतरे का सामना करने के लिए प्रेरित करता है। उदाहरण के लिए, माना कि आप बिस्तर पर लेट चुके हैं और तभी अचानक आपको याद आता है कि कल आपकी एक परीक्षा है। आपका एएनएस, चेतावनी द्वारा प्रतिक्रिया करता है। 

प्रतिरोध चरण में, शरीर, स्ट्रेसर का प्रतिरोध करने के लिए कार्य करता है, और खुद को ऊर्जा देने के लिए एड्रिनलीन छोडता है। स्ट्रेसर बना रह सकता है, लेकिन चेतावनी स्तर में बनने वाले लक्षण गायब हो जाते हैं। आप उठ पड़ते हैं,लाइट जलाते हैं और कार्ययोजना बनाना शुरू कर देते हैं। 

थकावट स्तर में, जो कि तनाव की बडी अवधि के बाद आता है, शरीर रट्रेसरों का प्रतिरोध करने में सक्षम नहीं रह सकता है। यदि शरीर, थकावट स्तर में पहुंच जाता है तो प्रतिरक्षी तंत्र कमजोर पड़ जाता है, और शरीर रोगों के प्रति असुरक्षित हो जाता है, जिसे सेल्यो ने अनुकूलन का रोग कहा है। इसमें व्रण, उच्च रक्त चाप, कोरोनरी (धमनियों के) रोग, और कैंसर शामिल हैं। 

आपको कैसे पता चलेगा कि आप अत्यधिक तनाव से गुजर रहे हैं। बेहद तनाव का सामना करने वाले लोग अधीर, क्रोधित हो जाते हैं, और औसत से जल्दी थक जाते हैं, और वे शारीरिक समस्याओं जैसे कि पेशियों में खिंचाव, अनिद्रा, और हाजमा खराब होने से ग्रस्त हो जाते हैं। 

पलायन प्रतिक्रियाएं 

कोई तनाव भरी स्थिति बनने पर, सामने मौजूद समस्या का सामना करने के बजाय पलायन प्रतिक्रिया की इच्छा जागती है। पलायन प्रतिक्रिया कोई व्यवहार, जैसे कि विचार या क्रिया होती है जो आपके दिलो-दिमाग को मुश्किलों से छुटकारा दिलाने में मदद करता है। 

कुछ पलायन प्रतिक्रियाएं सकारात्मक होती हैं। टहलने जाना, या किसी मित्र से बात करना, सकारात्मक पलायन प्रतिक्रिया हो सकती है। सकारात्मक पलायन प्रतिक्रिया, आपको तत्काल रचनात्मक ढंग से अच्छा महसूस कराती है। 

आप इस तरह से कार्य करते हैं कि यह आपकी नुकसान नहीं पहुंचाता या समस्या नहीं बढाता। इसके विपरीत नकारात्मक पलायन प्रतिक्रिया, ऐसी पलायन प्रतिक्रिया होती है जो आपको कुछ देर अच्छा अहसास कराती है लेकिन वास्तव में यह आपके तनाव स्तर बढा देती है। 

अधिक खाने लगना, अधिक मीना, और जिम्मेदारियों से बचना, नकारात्मक पलायन प्रतिक्रियाओं में शामिल हैं। शराबसेवन और नशीली दवाएं, चरम प्रतिक्रियाएं हैं। नकारना एक सामान्य नकारात्मक पलायन प्रतिक्रिया है, जो आपके मन को दर्दनाक विचारों और अहसासों से छुटकारा दिलाते हुए दुशिचंटा कम करने का एक तरीका है। 

जब आपकी मुश्किलें काबू से बाहर होती लगें, तो सब कुछ भुला देने की इच्छा प्रकट होती है। हालांकि अपने अहसासों से भागने के बजाय उनका सामना करना बेहतर रहता है। किसी अरुचिकर स्थिति में तनाव, दुख या क्रोध के साथ प्रतिक्रिया करना आम बात है। हो सके तो अपने अहसासों के बारे में किसी भरोसेमंद पारिवारिक सदस्य, मित्र, प्रशिक्षक या सलाहकार से बात करें। 

कम तनाव का सामना करने का यह अर्थ नहीं हैं कि आप कभी मी अत्यधिक व्याकुल, चिंतित, या तनावग्रस्त महसूस नहीं करेंगे। हर कोई कभी-कभी इस तरह महसूस करता है। सफल होने के लिए, आपको अपने जीवन में तनाव की मात्रा संतुलित करनी होती है। 

अपने शरीर और मन पर ध्यान दें और अपने निजी स्ट्रेसार्स की पहचान करना सीखें। एक बार जब आपको पता लग जाता है कि कौन सी परिस्थितियां आपको तनाव में डालती हैं, तो आप उन्हें संभालने, और सकारात्मक विचारों व क्रियाओं के जरिए उनसे निबटने के करीब आ जाते हैं। 

तनाव प्रबंधन 

तनावभरी या क्रोध दिलाने वाली परिस्थितियों में, आपको उससे ज्यादा काबू करना पड़ सकता हैं जितना आप सोच सकते हैं। आपके तनाव की सभी वजहों पर आपका काबू नहीं हो सकता है, लेकिन उन पर अपनी प्रतिक्रियाओं को आप नियंत्रित कर सकते हैं।

कैसे? सामना करने की कुशलताएं विकसित करके, जो कि ऐसे व्यवहार होते हैं जो तनाव तथा दूसरी अरुचिकर स्थितियों से निबटने में आपकी मदद करते हैं। 

तनाव पर शोध करने वालों ने, तनाव का सफलतापूर्वक सामना करने वालों में तीन बुनियादी विशेषताएं पाई हैं। पहली, ये लोग समस्या को किसी आपदा की तरह नहीं, बल्कि एक चुनौती के रूप में देखते हैं। दूसरी, उनकी कुछ कर दिखाने जैसी सोच या जीवन का उद्देश्य नाकामियों को सही नज़रिए से देखने में उनकी मदद करता है। तीसरी, उनमें यह अहसास होता हैं कि वे अपने 

जीवन को नियत्रित करते हैं। आपकी समस्याए चाहे जो भी हों, आप उन पर उचित और रचनात्मक तरीके से कार्य कर सकते हैं। आप अपने व्यक्तित्व और जीवनशैली के अनुसार सबले उपयुक्त विधि चुन सकते है। 

विश्रांति ( रिलैक्सेशन ) सरल रिलैक्सेशन या ध्यान लगाना, तनाव से निबटने का एक अच्छा तरीका है। शांत कमरे में आरामदेह अवस्था में बैठने की कोशिश करें। किसी एक शांति देने वाले शब्द या कहावत पर अपने मन को केंद्रित करें। अपनी आंखे बंद कर लें; गहरी और धीमी गति से सांस लें। सांस अपने पेट से लें, सीने से नहीं। अपनी पेशियों को शिथिल होता महसूस करें। यह शांतिपूर्ण अवस्था लगभग 20 मिनट तक बनाए रखें। रिलैक्सेशन के लिए रोज़ समय निकालें, और आप मानसिक व शारीरिक दोनों तरह से बेहतर महसूस करेंगे। 

संगीत सुनना, विश्रांति होने का एक दूसरा अच्छा उपाय है। धीमा गाना, तेज़ गाने की बजाय ज्यादा राहत देने चाला होता है, और वाद्य संगीत, स्वर संगीत से ज्यादा राहत देता है। अगर आप बहुत तनावग्रस्त हों, तो आप अपने मूड के हिसाब से तेज़ संगीत से शुरू कर सकते हैं और फिर धीरे-धीरे अधिक सौम्य धुनों पर आ सकते हैं। अपनी पसंद का संगीत चुनें, जिसमें शास्त्रीय से लेकर पश्चिमी तक शामिल हैं या प्रकृति की रिकार्डिग आजमाएं। कुछ लोगों को समुद्र की लहरों, बरसात या तूफान की आवाजों से या किसी मैदान में पक्षियों और कीटों की आवाजों से आराम मिलता है। 

प्रकृति को निहारना, प्रकृति को सुनने से भी अधिक शांति देने वाला हो सकता है। अगर आप किसी पार्क, प्राकृतिक पगडंडी, या समुद्र तट पर न जा सकें, तो अलाव या मछलीघर (एक्वेरियम) के सामने बैठें और गतिविधियां देखते हुए स्वयं में खो जाएं। 

पेशियों का क्रमिक शिथिलीकरण (प्रोग्रेसिव मसल रिलैक्सेशन) का अभ्यास तनाव कम करने का एक अन्य उपाय है, जिसमें पूरे शरीर की पेशियों को जल्दी-जल्दी टाइट किया और ढीला छोड़ा जाता है। मालिश विश्रांति का एक अन्य कारगर उपाय है। 

व्यायाम ( एक्सरसाइज ) कसरत, तनाव घटाने का एक शक्तिशाली उपाय है। टहलना, दौडना, ऐरोबिक्स, योगा, तथा अन्य ऐसो शारीरिक गतिविधियां कसरत में आती है जो आपको तनाव दूर करने में मदद करती हों। व्यायाम करने से आपकी धड़कने तेज हो जाती हैं और खून का दौरान सुधरता है।

पेशियों के खिंचने से मालिश वाला असर होता है और तनाव भगाने में मदद मिलती है। व्यायाम करने से खून में एड्रिनलीन कम करने में भी मदद मिलती है। यह बेहतर होगा कि एक सप्ताह में पांच या अधिक बार 20 से 30 मिनट तक किसी तरह की हृदय संबंधित गतिविधि में भाग लें जिसमें इतना परिश्रम करना पड़े कि पसीना आ जाए। लगातार, एक लय बनाकर ऐरोबिक गतिविधि करना सबसे बेहतर रहता है, जैसे कि तैरना, टहलना, जॉगिंग करना या साइकिल चलाना। 

पोषण नियमित, संतुलित भोजन खाएं जिसमे रेशेदार पदार्थ ज्यादा हों और सतृप्त वसा कम हों और हर दिन भरपूर पानी पिएं। पूरा समय निकालकर अपना खाना धीरे धीरे और आनद लेते हुए खाएं। नमक चीनी, शराब की खुराके कम करें। अपने शरीर की परवाह करें और लुभावने आहारों, ज्यादा ऊर्जा वाले खाद्य, और उचित पोषण के दूसरे विकल्पों के प्रति सावधान रहें जो भूख मारते है। 

नींद नियमित रूप से कम से कम सात घटे पूरा आराम करें। नीद की तैयारी के लिए नियमित नियमचर्या या प्रक्रिया बनाएं। सोने से पहले, शांति देने वाले विचारों या दिलचस्प विचार पढ़े या उन पर चिंतन करें। सोने जाने से पहले उलझनें सुलझा लें ताकि उनकी वजह से आपकी नीद न खराब हो। मोबाइल फोन या कंप्यूटर का ज्यादा इस्तेमाल करने पर एक विराम लेने के बाद ही सोने जाएं। 

मानसिक अनुशासन एकाग्रता विकसित करने, अपने मन को भटकाने वाले या जबरन घुसपैठ करने वाले विचारों से आजाद करने और एकाग्रता कायम करने की तकनीक का अभ्यास करें। यह शरीर को रिलैक्स करने वाली तकनीकों जैसे कि ध्यान, जैव-प्रतिक्रिया, और आत्म सम्मोहन के साथ किया जा सकता हैं। एकाग्रता विकसित करने की अन्य तकनीकों में युद्ध कला, उच्च योगा, ताइ-ची, नृत्य नाटकीय, तैराकी, तथा दूसरी लयबद्ध गतिविधियां शामिल हैं। 

आत्म - प्रतिष्ठा अपनी आत्म-प्रतिष्ठा विकसित करें ताकि आप नाकामियों के प्रति उचित दृष्टिकोण अपना सकें। अपने बारे में अच्छा महसूस करने से आपको जीवन की चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिए नजरिया सकारात्मक रखने में मदद मिलती है। अपने निजी गुणों और प्रयासों को सराहने और पुरस्कृत करने के मौके खोजें। कोई काम ठीक ढंग से पूरा कर लेने पर निजी बधाईयां, खुद से सकारात्मक बातचीत, और अपनी उपलब्धियों के बारे में सोचने से आपकी आत्म-प्रतिष्ठा बढ़ सकती है।

 Psychologist Albert Ellis believes that we create tension for ourselves because we keep giving place to irrational beliefs in our mind.  For example, in a party we may get stressed by seeing people whisper because we irrationally assume that they are cheating us.  Ellis's ABC model, given in Figure 3.2, shows how distrus (negative) results from our beliefs about events rather than actual events.  An activating (suggestive) event (A) prompts people to form an irrational or negative belief about themselves (B) leading to the outcome of the event (C).



 Stress is in the viewer's perspective.  Every person has their own factors (or causes) that create stress.  Stressor is something that causes stress.  Have you ever noticed the different ways different people react to the same event?  Thinking about going on a long walk can make you feel thrilled, while your friend may feel restless and stressed.  One of the earliest people to study stress, Dr. Hans Selye divided people into two categories: race horses and turtles.


 The race horse likes to run and it will die of suffocation when it is imprisoned in a confined space.  On the other hand, if the turtle is forced to run on the treadmill, it will die tired due to running too fast, contrary to its slow nature.  Each of us has to find a healthy level of stress, which is somewhere between the race horse and the turtle.


 Whether you are a race horse or a turtle, you may feel stressed when faced with situations that demand you to change old ways of doing or thinking.  It is normal to experience stress when faced with the following:


 ★ Demand more for school or work


 ★ changes in family relationships


 ★ new economic responsibilities


 ★ Changes in your social life


 ★ Contact new people, ideas, and situations


 ★ Anxiety or shame about sexual identity


 ★ Intrinsically born Mages, such as dilemmas.

 What happens when we experience stress?  Rattressors induce a response from the independent nervous system (ANS), which is the part of the nervous system that sends impulses to the heart, muscles, and glands.  The ANS controls many body functions, including heart and palpitations, and digestion.

In dangerous or stressful situations, the sympathetic nervous system increases your heart rate and breathing and slows down the digestion of food.  In calm conditions, the parasympathetic nervous system reduces your heart rate and breathing and makes food digestible.


 The ANS responds to stressors by three physiological levels: warning, resistance, and exhaustion.


 In the alert level, the body faces the stressor and prompts it to face the threat.  For example, suppose you lie in bed and then suddenly you remember that you have an exam tomorrow.  Your ANS responds by warning.


 In the resistance phase, the body acts to resist the stressor, and leaves adrenaline to energize itself.  Stressors may persist, but the symptoms that form the warning level disappear.  You get up, light the lights and start making action plans.

 In the exhaustion level, which comes after a large period of stress, the body may no longer be able to resist the retressors.  If the body reaches the exhaustion level, then the immune system becomes weak, and the body becomes vulnerable to diseases, which Cello has called adaptation disease.  These include ulcers, high blood pressure, coronary (arterial) diseases, and cancer.


 How do you know that you are going through extreme stress?  People experiencing extreme stress become impatient, angry, and tired early on average, and they suffer from physical problems such as muscle cramps, insomnia, and digestion.


 Migration responses


 In the event of a stressful situation, the desire for escape response arises rather than facing the problem present.  The exodus response is any behavior, such as thoughts or actions, that help relieve your heart and mind from difficulties.


 Some migration reactions are positive.  Going for a walk, or talking to a friend, can be a positive escape response.  Positive migration response makes you feel good in an instant creative way.


 You act in such a way that it does not harm you or cause problems.  Negative migration response, in contrast, is an escape reaction that makes you feel good for a while but actually increases your stress level.


 Over-eating, over-eating, and avoiding responsibilities include negative migration reactions.  Alcoholism and drugs are extreme reactions.  Denying is a normal negative drain response, a way to reduce anxiety by relieving your mind of painful thoughts and feelings.


 When your difficulties seem to be out of control, there is a desire to forget everything.  However, it is better to face them than to run away from your feelings.  In a distasteful situation it is common to react with stress, sorrow, or anger.  If possible, talk to a trusted family member, friend, coach or mentor about your feelings.

 Listening to music is another good way to relax.  Slow singing is more relieving than fast singing, and instrumental music gives more relief than vocal music.  If you are very stressed, you can start with loud music according to your mood and then gradually move to more gentle melodies.  Choose the music of your choice, which includes classical to western or try nature recording.  Some people get relief from the waves of the sea, the sounds of rain or storm or the sounds of birds and insects in a field.

 Beholding nature can be more peaceful than listening to nature.  If you can't go to a park, natural trail, or beach, then sit in front of the bonfire or aquarium (aquarium) and get lost in yourself while watching the activities.

 Get regular rest for at least seven hours of sleep.  Make regular rules or procedures for the preparation of sleep.  Before you go to bed, read or ponder on peace-giving thoughts or interesting thoughts.  Solve confusions before going to sleep so that they do not spoil your sleep.  Go to sleep only after taking a break if you use your mobile phone or computer more.
